Beaver County COVID-19 vaccine tracker: 46% of people fully vaccinated

Beaver County has administered more than 79,583 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, as of Oct. 12, according to data from the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

That's up very slightly by 0.76% from the previous week's tally of 78,981 COVID-19 doses administered.

In Beaver County, 46% of people living in Beaver County are fully vaccinated as of Oct. 12. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention considers someone fully vaccinated two weeks after they've been given a single-dose shot (Johnson & Johnson) or a second shot (either Pfizer or Moderna).

Pennsylvania reported 1,486,134 total cases of coronavirus, an increase of 2% from the week before.

The five counties with the highest percentage of their population fully vaccinated in Pennsylvania as of Oct. 12 are Montour County (67%), Forest County (65%), Lehigh County (63%), Chester County (61%) and Lackawanna County (60%).
