Need for Speed: Underground 2 (cross-platform racing videogame) is the eighth installment of the Need for Speed series. It was developed and published by Electronic Arts. Underground 2 adds four new races to the existing Underground racing modes (Circuit Sprint Drag Drag Drift Races, Sprint Drag Drag Races, and Drift Races). The Knockout competitions were the only racing mode that was removed.
A Lap Knockout option remains available for Circuit races that are not in the career race series. Underground 2 is a unique game in the Need for Speed series. It requires that players drive to a specific location in the city to start a race.
Other games let the player choose a race from the menu. Although most races can be marked on the in-game radars, some are hidden so the player will need to search for them if he/she wants to play them.
