HBO's live-action adaptation of The Last Of Us is deep into production right now in Calgary, Canada - and that means we're starting to see a fair bit of the upcoming show in action.

We've only had one official tease of Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey together as Joel and Ellie so far, and it's fair to say it didn't give much away. The duo are stood with their backs to the camera overlooking a post-apocalyptic horizon. Moody, but not all that informative.

Thankfully, set videos are giving us a much better look at what we can expect from the series, with one recent upload offering the first footage of Joel and Ellie together.

As shared by The Last Of Us News Updates, footage taken from the set of the show gives us a look at Pascal's Joel and Ramsey's Ellie travelling through an abandoned city together. Joel has his gun out and appears to be looking over his shoulder a fair bit, implying he's expecting something to kick off. The pair are also joined by Tess (Anna Torv), which suggests this scene takes place towards the start of the series.

We already know that the first series of The Last Of Us will adapt the plot of the 2013 PlayStation game. I'm sure you know the story: Joel must travel with Ellie across America to deliver her to the Fireflies, in the hopes of finding a cure for the virus that has torn the world apart. Along the way they'll face threats from both humans and infected, and do whatever it takes to survive.

The Last Of Us is expected to air at some point in 2022, and is being produced by Craig Mazin (Chernobyl) and Neil Druckmann, who directed the video games. It was also recently announced that Druckmann will be directing at least one episode of the live-action series, which will be interesting to see.
