Opera Colorado returns to live performances for the first time since March 2020 with a production of “Tosca.”

The Puccini masterpiece will star Melissa Citro in the title role, Rafael Davila as Cavaradossi, and Luis Ledesma as Scarpia. Stefano de Peppo rounds out the cast as Angelotti with Ari Pelto conducting.

Speaking about a return to live performances, General & Artistic Director Greg Carpenter said,  “It is so exciting to return to producing live, grand opera at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House this fall, and to finally present the Tosca we had to cancel in April 2020. This stunning, classic production and superb cast, along with the great Opera Colorado Orchestra and Chorus, will make for a season opener worth waiting for.”

“Tosca” will be performed at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House from November 6 to 14, 2021.
