The playoff series between the Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Francisco Giants certainly lived up to the billing. But the final pitch thrown to end the series didn't leave many satisfied, especially fans in from the Bay Area.

Check out the controversial call from the first base umpire that sealed the victory for the Dodgers:

Upon further inspection on the replay, it indeed looked like the Dodgers got a favorable call with Flores successfully being able to hold his bat from crossing the plane.

But Dodgers hero Cody Bellinger drops some sobering truth on the Giants fans with his take on the called swing.

“I was in center,” Bellinger said. “I didn’t see anything so I’m sure I’ll watch on the video, but the umpire said it was a swing, so it’s a swing.”

While the war wages on the check swing on Twitter, more than likely the outcome would have remained the same. Flores was still facing arguably the best pitcher in baseball with a 1-2 count and the weight of the entire city of San Francisco on his shoulders. The Dodgers were sitting pretty whether they overturned that call or not.

But even if that's all true, having an umpire decide to end your season, with what looks like an erroneous call, certainly hurts after a historic 107-win season.
