Allison Cowling: 7
Comfortable performance, taking her opportunity for a start in goal. She made a few good saves, and showed good distribution of the ball throughout.
Emma Kelly: 8
A very solid game from a midfielder playing out of position at the back, she was also really good going forward.
Neve Herron: 8
Again looked soild playing out of position, the young star was full of confidence and produced some great balls forward. Has Sweetman-Kirk in her pocket most of the evening.
Louise Griffiths: 7
Played well at centre half, but quite as not as good as she does playing as a fullback. Nevertheless, she showed why she’s so valuable to this team.
Faye Mullen: 7
A quiet but comfortable game for Faye before she was withdrawn in the second half.
Libby McInnes: 7
Seemed to struggle slightly with the physicality of the match but performed really well overall.
Maria Farrugia: 6
A busy game, gave her all and worked as hard as ever, but didn’t always choose the best options going forward.
Holly Manders: 8
Full of energy, never stopped running until injury forced her off.
Emily Scarr: 7
As versatile as always, started leading the line, ended the game at full-back. A real team player and a solid performance as ever.
Eve Blakey: 7
Made some great runs and held up the ball well on her return to the side, she gives the gaffer options as the season progresses.
Abbey Joice: 9
Probably the best game I’ve seen her play. She was all over the park and full of energy, played some great balls forward, and showed her quality.
Subs:
Keira Ramshaw: 8
That is how you take a penalty.
Jess Brown: 7
Did really well when she came on, exactly what you need from a second-half sub.
Iris Achterhof: 7
The Dutch player was unlucky to miss a chance to get a goal toward the end.
Grace Ede: 7
Good to see a debut for the 16-year-old prospect, and she really didn’t seem out of place in the side. Exciting times.
