The Los Angeles Dodgers continue their march towards a repeat. After the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth inning, they didn't take any chances by inserting Cy Young favorite Max Scherzer to close the contest.

Safe to say Scherzer didn't disappoint as he sealed the victory for the Dodgers:

The fact that such a gargantuan divisional series ended with a failed check swing from Wilmer Flores somehow feels fitting, given how close Giants-Dodgers battle was through five games. The margin for error was razor-thin, and almost played out quite literally with the game's final call.

Max Scherzer was clearly pumped up after getting the save. Check out the epic scene as he gets mobbed by his Dodgers teammates celebrating in the infield diamond.

LA wouldn't have gotten to that point without the heroics of Cody Bellinger, who put the Dodgers ahead during the top of the ninth with a booming base hit to right field. After an extremely down season for the former National league MVP, Belly was able to come up massive for his squad when they needed him most.

The Dodgers are set to face a familiar foe in the Atlanta Braves, who they dispatched last year en route to their World Series win.
