In Loving Memory of David Paul Miller: 1952-2021

Posted

David Paul Miller was born July 30, 1952 in St. Claire Shores, Michigan. David was a master carpenter and avid outdoorsman. He loved to be in the woods, hiking, hunting, canoeing, mushroom and huckleberry picking, and training his Wirehaired Pointing Griffons, Frost and Bailey. He and his wife of 45 years, Shelley, spent their summers camping in their beloved " 66 Little Dipper" camper that he restored and customized. David and Shelley loved traveling the Western states exploring new places and having hilarious shenanigans along the way.

David was an artist. He always would say he wasn't, but there was no doubt about it. His carpentry was custom, fine art. He was passionate about his art form and very talented. He enjoyed customizing many beautiful buildings, cabinetry, and other things throughout his lifetime.

His laugh and smile will live in our hearts forever. We like to imagine him being at peace, flying on eagle's wings, having exciting adventures with his four legged side-kick Frost. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family: Shelley, son Jesse, and daughter Erin. He passed away on Sept. 26, 2021 in Olympia, Washington.

David's ashes will be scattered at a later date on his timberland "Fox Run.
