Antonio Banderas opts for casual chic look at premiere of Spanish-language A Chorus Line in Madrid

Antonio Banderas opted for the casual chic look Thursday while attending the premiere of A Chorus Line in Madrid, Spain.

The 61-year-old actor kept it simple by wearing a dark blue T-shirt with matching trousers and jacket for the premiere at Calderon Theatre.

He completed his outfit with dark slip-ons with white sidewalls.

Antonio sported a nicely trimmed beard as he walked the carpet.

The actor opened the Teatro del Soho CaixaBank in 2019 in his hometown of Malaga, Spain and a Spanish-language version of A Chorus Line starring Antonio as Zach was its inaugural musical production.

Antonio is the producer and co-director of A Chorus Line that will be at the Calderon Theatre through November 7.

Manuel Bandera will portray Zach in the Madrid shows.

A Chorus Line premiered on Broadway in 1975 and ran non-stop for 15 years.

The production places the audience in a Broadway theatre in the mid-1970s, where director Zach and his assistant, Larry, conduct an audition for their new musical production.

Antonio starred in the 2003 Broadway revival of Nine as Guido Contini and was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical.

The late Raul Julia first played Guido in the original 1982 Broadway production.

Antonio revelaed on his 60th birthday in August 2020 that he had tested positive for COVID-19 amid the pandemic in Spain.

He also joined actor Manuel Bandera and choreographer Baayork Lee last week as they presented 'A Chorus Line' at the Calderon Theatre.
