Coronation Street star Sally Carman has said that Abi and Corey will face off with some "epic" stunt scenes on the soap.
Speaking to Digital Spy and other media outlets, Carman explained that the "drama with the gun" where her character aims to shoot Corey will be made more complicated by "a few more elements" such as a storm and a sinkhole.
Viewers have been waiting for the face-off between Abi and Corey for a while now, as Abi's devastation over Corey's 'not guilty' verdict for the murder of her son Seb is ongoing.

Though Abi's initially the one in power, the sinkhole changes everything for them as she is suddenly on the backfoot, and Corey is holding the gun instead, with Abi suddenly in danger.
But Abi has "little regard" for "her own life" at that point. Carman explained: "If you add the initial mindset of someone who's not thinking straight, who's distraught, heartbroken, and damaged herself, regardless of losing her son, and then you add a sinkhole to the mix and then you add a murder in a sinkhole to the mix, she doesn't know what she's thinking."
"I think it's really good how it's been done because it also shows how little regard at that point that Abi has for her own life so what can you actually do?" Carman added.

Filming these scenes was difficult at first for Carman because they were "permanently wet", but she said that after a while, her body "acclimatised" to it.
"It was brilliant from start to finish, it was such a brilliant experience to have all these amazing sets and this running, gushing water coming out of pipes and these electrical flashers, and we did stunts where we feel through a trap door. It was epic. It pushed me to my limits, I would say," she said.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
