Power Book II: Ghost is returning for its second season in just over a month, so now seems like as good a time as any to drop the trailer for the new episodes.

"Time to deal with the consequences," the show's official social media shared.

The second run of the Power spin-off/sequel will follow lead character Tariq St Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr), who delves deeper into the world of drug dealing and crime following the events of season 1.

Teasing what we can expect, showrunner Courtney A Kemp said to Entertainment Weekly: "Well, obviously Tariq has committed a huge murder and there's going to be a big response to that on campus.

"Where we had begun an encroachment of his drug life into his school life with the incidents that took place in episode eight with the attempt on his life and the body in the pool, now his whole drug life is crashed into his campus life in a real way.

"And Tariq definitely feels like he's walking around as a ticking time bomb. His relationships are going to get more complicated, and while that's all happening he's still got a love life."

Of course, there's more going on than just that. Berto Colon's Lorenzo Tejada is going to become a bigger part of the show, as he clashes with Monet (Mary J Blige), while Paton Ashbrook's prosecutor Jenny Sullivan is also going to become a bigger deal as she seeks justice.

Meanwhile, Rapper Redman will guest star as Theo Rollins, the older brother of lawyer Davis Maclean (Method Man), and Luke Cage's Frank Whaley will be playing a "heavily recurring" character called Lucas.

Power Book: Ghost season 2 will be available on Starzplay from November 21.

Power aired on Starz in the US, and is available on Netflix in the UK. Power Book III: Raising Kanan airs on Starz in the US and will stream on Starzplay, available through Amazon Prime Video, in the UK.
