MOUNT ST. MARY'S WOMEN'S TENNIS
at Towson Fall Tiger Classic

The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team is back in action at the Towson Fall Tiger Classic begins on Friday.  The Mount will face Delaware State on Friday in the Hidden Dual format tournament.

LOCATION:  All matches on Friday afternoon, Saturday morning until noon, and Sunday to be held at Towson University Tennis Courts.  Matches starting at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday will be held at St. Paul's School.

THE COMPETITION:  Coppin State, Delaware State, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, Mount St. Mary's, Saint Joseph's and Towson.  Each team will play five hidden dual matches throughout the weekend.

THE FORMAT:  This will be a Hidden Dual tournament.  For all matches at Towson, that will include four singles matches and one doubles (six players competing).  For the matches at St. Paul's School, the format will be two singles and two doubles (six players competing).  All matches are best of three sets with a super tiebreaker for the third set.

SATURDAY
Towson vs. Delaware State; Johns Hopkins vs. Coppin State, 8 am
Mount St. Mary's vs. Georgetown; Towson vs. Saint Joseph's, 10 am
Towson vs. Delaware State; Towson vs. Johns Hopkins, 1 pm (at St. Paul's School)
Mount St. Mary's vs. Coppin State; Georgetown vs. Saint Joseph's, 3 pm (at St. Paul's School)
SUNDAY
Saint Joseph's vs. Delaware State; Johns Hopkins vs. Georgetown, 9 am
Mount St. Mary's vs. Johns Hopkins; Coppin State vs. Georgetown, 11 am
Mount St. Mary's vs. Towson, Delaware State vs. Coppin State, 1 pm
Towson vs. Georgetown, 3 pm

MOUNT UPDATE:  This will be the Mount's third tournament this season.  So far, Shirley Liang leads the Mountaineers with two singles wins while also teaming with Amber Policare for a 2-2 record in doubles.  Riya Mathur and Adriana Barney are 3-1 as a doubles tandem so far this season as well.

UP NEXT:  The Mountaineers close out the fall season by hosting the Mount St. Mary's Duals on October 29-31 at the Mount St. Mary's Tennis Courts on campus.
