Hallmark Makes It Clear They Didn’t Hire Lori Loughlin Back
Lori Loughlin is coming back to television. She will be starring in When Hope Calls: A Country Christmas Parts 1 and 2. Does this mean that Hallmark has hired her, as she can now travel to Canada, and reprise her role as Abigail Stanton?

Lori Loughlin Returning To Television, In When Calls The Heart Spinoff
Lori Loughlin is coming back to television. However, Hallmark did not hire her to reprise her role as Abigail Stanton for When Calls The Heart Season 9.
Instead, GAC Family announced that Lori Loughlin would be reprising her WCTH role, but in When Hope Calls. That is because Season 2 has moved to the new network started by former Hallmark CEO Bill Abbott. That means Lori is not returning to Hope Valley but instead taking a detour to Brookfield.
This was the news that no one ever expected. However, could this mean that Lori Loughlin is returning to Hope Valley anytime soon?
What Hallmark Tweeted About Lori Loughlin
Not long after it was announced that Lori Loughlin was returning to her role as Abigail Stanton, there was a hubbub on social media. Knights Templar tweeted, “#LoriLoughlin to star in NEW @Hallmark series “When Prison Calls” It’s about a rich has-been actress who thinks she’s above the poor & decrepit & buys her way out of serious prison time. Series will make Hallmark & Becky more $$ off the poor! #watchifyourstupid.”
Hallmark quickly responded on Twitter with a firm declaration that Loughlin would never be returning to their network, or Hope Valley anytime soon. “Hi Knights, Hallmark Channel has not cast Lori Loughlin in any current projects, nor do we have any plans to cast her in the future. She was cast by GAC Family, a wholly separate cable network not affiliated with Hallmark Channel or Crown Media Family Networks.”
This statement has been publicly discussed and dissected. While it seemed to firmly state that Loughlin was never coming back, it was a bit unusual to directly mention the name of the television competitor.

Bill Abbott Was Hallmark CEO When Hallmark Fired WCTH Star
One of the ironies of GAC Family bringing Lori Loughlin onboard to reprise her role as Abigail Stanton is that the head of this new network is the very boss that fired her from Hallmark.
Moreover, Daniel Lissing, who is also part of the When Hope Calls: A Country Christmas had mentioned on the Deck The Hallmark podcast that he was open to returning to When Calls The Heart as “Ghost Jack.”
Moreover, he really wanted to act with Erin Krakow again. But, that never happened. Many assumed he was perhaps blacklisted from the top. Again, Bill Abbott was the Hallmark CEO. Yet, Lissing will be back for the first episodes of When Hope Calls.
Since the executive producer of WCTH Brian Bird, is also EP on WHC. So, it could be safe to assume that the decision was not up to the series creators. Bird was open to bringing Lori back. In addition, so was Erin Krakow, and others on WCTH.
However, Hallmark has made it clear, they are never, ever, never bringing Lori Loughlin back. And for that matter, never bringing Daniel Lissing back.

Everyone deserves a 2nd chance and she is a great actress and brought much to hallmark. I have lost respect for this network for acting like they are doing something good by not bringing her back.
I read a lot of comments and most of them wanted her back. I hope she has much success on the other network.
I will never watch a network that she is currently on. She has plenty of money and doesn’t need to work. A real cocky person!
I agree, she is so full of pride, after getting caught she would NOT admit she was guilty. At least Felicity admitted she was wrong and took the heat. But not Lori, she figured she could buy her way out of it, also she could get off because of who she was! Full of pride and thinks she’s better than everyone else and ABOVE THE LAW….like most of the Hollywood trash!!!(there are a few good respectable Hollywood actors. But very few)
