The Pittsburgh Steelers are likely to take a quarterback in the 2022 NFL Draft. Here are the signal-callers they should target in each round.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are in need of new life at the quarterback position and this upcoming draft is when they should get that resurgence in their offense. With Ben Roethlisberger on his last leg with the Steelers, these 3 quarterbacks are great replacements for the future hall fame quarterback.

Depending on what round they decide to draft a quarterback is on who they should end up selecting to take over for next year.

Steelers 1st-round pick: QB Matt Corral, Ole Miss

In my previous mock draft article, I mentioned that the Steelers would select QB Matt Corral from Ole Miss. After this weekend’s game against Arkansas, I am staying with him as our first choice at the quarterback position in the 2022 NFL draft.

The kid is electric on the field. During this past weekend against Arkansas, Corral completed 14 of his 21 passes for 287 yards with 2 touchdowns in the air. He also rushed 15 times for 94 yards and had 2 rushing touchdowns.

On the year, Corral has completed 99 of his 146 passes with 12 touchdowns. He has yet to throw an interception and makes quick and smart decisions while in the pocket. On the ground, he has now rushed 58 times for 255 yards in 5 games. He also has a total of 8 rushing touchdowns.

At this rate, he should be the front runner for the Heisman trophy. I believe the Steelers will be picking high in the draft, so Corral could be in play to get selected by the Steelers.
