NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD said a 16-year-old boy suffered multiple stab wounds and had his backpack stolen by a pair of robbers on the roof of a Bronx building last week.
Police said the victim was punched in the face by one attacker and another placed him a chokehold on the roof of a rental building on East 149th Street and Prospect Avenue just after noon on Oct. 8.
One of the males then stabbed the victim once in the back and twice in his left leg before they removed his backpack before fleeing the building, heading eastbound on East 149th Street, authorities said.
EMS transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem in critical but stable condition.
The NYPD said the perpetrators are 16 to 18 years old and wore black-colored clothing.
