The COVID-19 pandemic changed just about every industry worldwide including the Lewiston Civic Theatre.
This weekend the Lewiston Civic Theatre is back on stage with their rendition of The Addams Family.
The cast ranges in all ages from children to adults and is a fun way to spend a few hours over the next couple of weekends.
This civic theatre production will be pairing with a live orchestra. The cast is thrilled to be back on stage after a year and a half away.
Here’s a sneak peek of the show.
“It's been a little over 18 months since we've done a show, so for a community theater non-profit organization, if you're not producing shows, there is no income” said Amy Stout, playing Morticia. “So, it's been very hard and we're really working hard to bring the civic theater back and make it healthy and this is a great way to start that.”
“It’s got humor for everything people can relate to all the characters and the humor reaches out to all generations and i just think it's a great time to come together and enjoy it as a family because it is a family show,” said Larry Goodwin, Director.
The performances will be held at Normal Hill Campus, which was the old Lewiston High School. October 16, October 22-23 and 28-30 at 7:00PM. Matinee shows are Sundays October 17, 24, 31 at 2:00PM.
