As you roam around Genshin Impact’s Tsurumi Island, you may find some Stone Slates. These aren’t part of an actual world quest, but they are part of a puzzle that rewards Luxurious Chests and an achievement. Our Genshin Impact guide shows you where to find the Stone Slates on Tsurumi Island, how to solve their puzzles, and where to put the slates to get your reward.

Before you start this journey, make sure you have the Peculiar Pinion gadget, which you get from the “Octave of the Maushiro” world quest. You will not be able to find the Stone Slates without the Peculiar Pinion.

All the puzzles that reward Stone Slates are similar to the puzzles from the “Octave of Maushiro” quest. We’ve listed all the locations of the Stone Slates on Tsurumi Island below.

The first Stone Slate is located south of the Moshiri Ceremonial Site. Use the Peculiar Pinion on the nearby bird statue, and an Electro Seelie will appear. Chase it down, and it’ll reveal the order in which you need to hit the stones.

The second Stone Slate can be found south of Chirai Shrine. There are several bird statues nearby, and if you use the Peculiar Pinion, they will reveal symbols. You’ll need to strike the rocks in the order that the bird statues present them.

The third Stone Slate can be found north of Shirikoro Peak. Rather than requiring you to hit stones again, you’ll need to complete a sliding puzzle to match the symbols to the slabs in front of the rocks. This puzzle works the same way as the one presented in “Octave of the Maushiro.”

The fourth Stone Slate is at the bottom part of Shirikoro Peak, under the perch. After you use the Peculiar Pinion on the bird statue, it will reveal one symbol. Follow the direction the bird statue is looking to find another statue. Keep using the pinion to activate birds that will show more symbols, and keep following the path according to where the bird is looking.

The fifth Stone Slate is found in Chirai Shrine. Using the Peculiar Pinion near this bird statue activates the stones for you to hit in a specific order. Close by, there’s another bird statue to the southeast, near the relay stone puzzle. If you use the pinion on this bird, a cube mechanism switch will appear. Activating the switch will display the symbols on the ground in order which you need to hit them.

This Stone Slate is found at the very bottom of Mt. Kanna. Once you use the Peculiar Pinion on it, Seelies will pop out. Follow each Seelie to find missing stones, and return them to where the Seelie instructs you to. Once you fix the three stones, the Seelies will reveal the pattern to hit the rocks.

The last Stone Slate is another sliding puzzle, found on the south of Autake Plains. Just like the other sliding puzzle, you’ll need to match the symbols on the nearby slabs.

Putting the Stone Slates in the ruins under Shirikoro Peak

Once you get all seven Stone Slates, head to the ruins under Shirikoro Peak (where the relay stone puzzles were). Continue running through until you hit a room with water in the middle. Place the Stone Slates in the round stone structures surrounding the water.

You’ll get two Luxurious Chests and the achievement “Seven Letters” for all your trouble.
