18-year-old David Lee Winfield Officially Charged For Death Of Laura Ashley

The Amarillo Police Department has officially charged 18-year-old David Lee Winfield with murder after the death of Laura Ashley.
On September 6th, Officers were called out to northwest 15th and Monroe Street on a shots fired call and found Laura deceased in her vehicle.
On September 30th, Winfield was arrested for being tied to other shootings that took place during that time.
The APD Homicide unit and Violent Crimes unit continue to investigate these incidents.
