Oct. 15, the Teatro Massimo di Palermo is set to stream its new production of “Il Pirata.”

The Bellini work will be conducted by Francesco Lanzillotta and directed by Luigi Di Gangi and Ugo Giacomazzi and will be streamed on the company’s Teatro Massimo WebTv.

The performance will be the opening night evening which will star Vittorio Prato as Ernesto, Roberta Mantegna as Imogene, Celso Albelo as Gualtiero, Motoharu Takei as Itulbo, Giovanni Battista Parodi as Goffredo, and Natalia Gavrilan as Adele. “Il Pirata” is set to be performed four times with a second cast led by Francesco Vultaggio, Marta Torbidoni, and Giorgio Misseri on Oct. 19, 2021.

The Teatro Massimo di Palermo recently streamed “Ernani,” “Carmen,” “Lucia di Lammermoor,” and “Torneranno i bei moment.”
