The NHL's Department of Player Safety announced on Thursday that Colorado Avalanche captain
Gabriel Landeskog will have a hearing for boarding Chicago Blackhawks forward
Kirby Dach.
The incident occurred late in the third period. Dach was falling to the ice near the boards in the neutral zone, and after he dumps the puck into Colorado's zone, Landeskog hits him at an awkward angle. Landeskog received a two-minute minor for boarding on the play.
Landeskog, 28, re-signed with the Avalanche with less than twelve hours before he was set to become an unrestricted free agent. In 688 regular season games, Landeskog has 514 points (219 G, 295 A).
