This Is Us Season 6 has not even premiered yet, but there is already much talk about possible spinoffs.
After all, This Is Us fans are aware that Season 6 would be the show's last. And it would undoubtedly be heartbreaking to say goodbye to their favorite characters.

This Us creators and actors have not shied away from talking about possible spinoffs for the hit NBC series in recent years. However, it's important to note that nothing has been cast in stone yet.
What Did This Is Us Creator Dan Fogelman Say About A Spinoff?
In 2019, series creator Dan Fogelman was asked if there's a possibility for a spinoff to be released once This Is Us wraps up.
At the time, Fogelman said no because his main priority was making sure that This Is Us would end adequately.
"Not really. The group of people that you see, you can feel when you come to these things — even if we're completely insane and the show is no good — you can feel how much the people who work on the show love the show, and I feel a responsibility as one of the leaders of it to end it properly, to do it properly, and walk away with it with no regrets that we understayed or overstayed. So, I really don't think about that at all. Yet," he told The Hollywood Reporter.
Fogelman's use of the word "yet" sounded very cryptic at the time and with good reason.
Two years later, the series creator told Entertainment Weekly that there could be more surprises for fans. However, he and his fellow creators were also very clear about This Is Us ending after Season 6.
"It's been interesting seeing the news of [the show ending], just because we've been so clear about it from the very beginning that it was going to be six seasons. The Pearson family story has an endpoint because of the age of the kids, and because we're telling the story in the future. It's not to say there aren't more surprises in store, but I just honestly haven't even had the conversations. I know people think they're some secret plan. We haven't even had conversations about it yet," he said.
Is Sterling K. Brown Open To The Idea Of A This Is Us Spinoff?
Sterling K. Brown plays the role of Randall Pearson in This Is Us.
While speaking with Us Weekly, the actor said that he would be open to the idea of starring in a spinoff series if Fogelman will be part of the project.
"In wrapping my head around it, I also have to say, I've wrapped my head around what the opportunities will be post This Is Us. So I'm actually looking forward to exploring what else is out there. I love this character so much and it's been such an important part of my career, but I also look forward to all the other characters living inside of me having an opportunity to find their way," Brown said.
Milo Ventimiglia Confident That There'll Be A This Is Us Spinoff
In May, Milo Ventimiglia told Us Weekly that he thinks there will eventually be a This Is Us spinoff.
However, the actor, who plays the role of Jack Pearson, also said that he has no idea who the spinoff will be about.

Since there are a lot of wonderful characters from This Is Us, it wouldn't be difficult to come up with a spinoff on at least one of them.
Fans of This Is Us know that Kate Pearson (Chrissy Metz) and Toby (Chris Sullivan) have a son named Jack Damon (Blake Stadnik). Even though the exes' relationship didn't last, they have a son that will forever bind them to each other.
Jack was first introduced in This Is Us Season 4 as a blind character who also had issues with his hearing after being diagnosed with retinopathy shortly after birth.
Despite his blindness, Jack grew up to be a musician like his mom and grandmother, Rebecca (Mandy Moore).
So, one exciting spinoff could focus on Jack's life as a rockstar and husband to Lucy (Auden Thornton) and a dad to their daughter, Hope.
Uncle Nicky Pearson Became An Instant Fan-Favorite
Another possible storyline for a This Is Us spinoff could focus on Uncle Nicky's (Griffin Dunne) character.
Kate, Randall, and Kevin (Justin Hartley) only found out that their dad had a brother long after Jack died. So, there's plenty of storylines that can be explored with regards to Uncle Nicky.
The character also became a fan favorite because of his dry sense of humor and weird ways.
As of late, a This Is Us spinoff isn't happening just yet. But one can certainly hope.
For now, fans should watch out for This Is Us Season 6, which happens to be the final season for the hit NBC series.
This Is Us Season 6 Episode 1 will premiere sometime in January 2022.
