CAMDEN - Watershed School will be holding a virtual information session for their Climate Action and Leadership Lab (CALL) Semester Program on Thursday, October 28, 7 to 8 p.m.

Prospective students and their families are invited to learn about CALL, a semester program for high school sophomores and juniors equipping students with knowledge and tools to act, innovate, and create community-oriented solutions to climate change. CALL is currently accepting applications for Spring 2022 and Spring 2023.

Information session attendees will learn more about the CALL curriculum, CALL’s focus on climate action and civic engagement, and student life at Watershed. Watershed faculty, students, parents, and alumni will also be present to answer questions. 

“The Climate Action and Leadership Lab inspires the next generation to overcome the challenges posed by climate change with resilience and creativity,” says Will Galloway, Head of School. “Through conversations, projects, innovative coursework, and community partnerships, our students are creating a 21st-century culture that prioritizes communication, conservation, stewardship, and sustainability.”

CALL students gain a deep understanding of the environmental, political, economic, ethical, and cultural impacts of a rapidly warming climate through an interdisciplinary, hands-on curriculum and civic engagement. They collaborate with town government and the community at large on relevant environmental projects.
