The Agape Creative Boutique, in partnership with The Art of Banksy Exhibit, presents a preview of The Kulture Museum. The Kulture Museum is a symposium of creative expression of Black art that dives into the union of history, culture, and transformation. The exhibit incorporates the artwork of five Chicago artists using mixed media centering on cultural expression that is meant to provoke and inspire. The featured artist, Roger J. Carter, a native of the South-Side of Chicago, is a politically fueled, unapologetic artist who uses his art to inform the masses and protest injustice. Robert Lewis Clark, Alan Emerson Hicks, Uneq’ka McNeal, and Paul Branton are the other artists exhibited in the exhibit located at 360 N. State Street.
The artists all manifest a series through mixed media based on their unique vantage points and chosen medium. The selection of art was selected to translate a segment of cultural vibrancy intended to cultivate an understanding of change in various forms. Each piece was deliberately chosen to showcase artistic energy designed to affect change and spark conversation. The Culture Museum runs from September 29 through October 31, 2021. On the evening of October 14th, an artist tour, preview, and print signing by featured artists between 6:30 pm and 9:30 pm., an event sound installation by TTPMG Artist Nathan Palmer.
