I know the article is subscription, but all you need is the lede, which I'm copying here from Twitter: "A North Korea propaganda website said 'Squid Game'...'gained popularity because it exposes the reality of South Korean capitalist culture'"

I mean, it is a commentary on some aspects of capitalism, but I love the accusation that it reflects a "reality" of the South.

Funny…thanks for posting. I enjoyed season 1…albeit much more so once I stopped watching the dubbed version.

It’s interesting how NK’s propaganda machine is not all that much different than how the left and right in this country see (or choose to see) the other and judge an entire group of people based on the most extreme among them.
