Throughout the NFL season, we’ll be ranking the top 10 rookies in the league based on their progress. Here’s the breakdown following Week 5.

10. Green Bay Packers C Josh Myers: He missed Week 5 due to a finger injury, but the second-round pick was the top-rated qualified pass-blocking interior offensive linemen at Pro Football Focus through four weeks. He’s yet to surrender a sack and has given up just one quarterback hit.

9. Denver Broncos CB Patrick Surtain II: The ninth overall selection has surrendered just 18 completions on 30 attempts and a 77.4 passer rating in coverage. He also has an interception.

8. New England Patriots QB Mac Jones: There have been some good and bad moments for the first-rounder thus far, but he’s completed a strong 71.1 percent of his passes. He’ll need to become a bigger playmaker but is on the right track.

7. Los Angeles Chargers OT Rashawn Slater: The No. 13 overall pick finally had a rookie stumble with two sacks allowed Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, but he still has the top pass-blocking grade among qualified rookies at PFF.

6. Los Angeles Chargers CB Asante Samuel Jr.: The second-rounder also had some trouble against Cleveland, but he’s intercepted two passes and has a 66.1 passer rating allowed.

5. Philadelphia Eagles WR DeVonta Smith: He’s being overshadowed by a fellow first-rounder to be named, but Smith now has three 70-plus-yard games under his belt and is on pace for a 1,000-plus-yard campaign. He’s also dropped just one pass.

4. Baltimore Ravens edge Odafe Oweh: The first-rounder does a little bit of everything for the Ravens. He has three sacks and eight quarterback hits under his belt.

3. Dallas Cowboys LB Micah Parsons: The versatile first-rounder has shined with 2.5 sacks, 10 quarterback hits, and 25 tackles. He’s a big reason the Cowboys felt comfortable releasing Jaylon Smith.

2. Kansas City Chiefs C Creed Humphrey: The second-rounder now leads all qualified NFL centers with a PFF grade of 87.1. What a pick from Brett Veach and Co.

1. Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase: Only Mike Williams (six) has more touchdowns than Chase (five), and he ranks seventh in the NFL with 456 receiving yards. Congratulations, Joe Burrow.
