College Football 2021: 3 teams that will be on upset alert in Week 7

Last week was supposed to be an average week in college football with a couple of big games. Luckily, rarely anything goes according to plan.

Two wild games at the same time — one of which was on last week’s upset alert — concluded with thrilling finishes. Two top-10 teams lost to unranked opponents, including the No. 1 team in the country.

Last week, teams on upset alert went 4-3. Houston handled Tulane, Notre Dame needed 11 points in the final two and a half minutes to escape Virginia Tech, Ole Miss won on a failed Arkansas two-point conversion, and UCF’s touchdown with 23 seconds left secured a four-point win against East Carolina.

The three that weren’t so lucky: Louisville lost by a point to Virginia, BYU was dominated by Boise State, and the formally No. 1 ranked Crimson Tide lost to Texas A&M on a walk-off field goal.

Teams on upset alert are now 26-16. Last week might have been a breakthrough. Do we continue this week?
