BTS Jin sparked rumors that he would make a cameo on the upcoming drama Jirisan.

Ahead of the release of Jun Ji Hyun and Joo Ji Hoon's Jirisan, AStory confirmed that the BTS member would record the drama's main theme song. The production company announced the exciting news on October 1, hinting that viewers would hear it midway through the drama.

AStory is yet to reveal more details of the song, including the release date and its title. However, it promised to disclose information soon.

Although Jin only serves as the singer of the official OST, he seemingly dropped a hint that he would make a cameo in the drama after handing his birthday gift to Jimin this week.

This week, Jimin celebrated his 26th birthday and received special gifts from his members. Among the notable presents he got were the pine mushrooms from Jin. Initially, he told his fans he could not eat certain foods, including mushrooms.

However, the picky eater began craving when Jin once cooked a mushroom dish for him. It may be odd to hear that Jin only gave his co-member mushrooms for his birthday. But people should know that the pine mushrooms he gifted him are the most expensive one in the world as they cost $1,000 to $2,000 per pound.

Aside from the jaw-dropping price, fans also set their attention to what the mushrooms mean. Since pine mushrooms only grow at Mount Jiri, fans speculated that Jin went to the place to buy them. Most importantly, it is where the drama's filming set happened, stirring the rumors that he probably participated in the drama for a cameo.

After the photos of Jin's gift emerged, fans assumed the BTS member saw them at the set and bought them for Jimin.

While the pine mushrooms already serve as a strong sign that he visited Mt. Jiri, Jin unknowingly outed more hints about his possible cameo.

In one of his social media posts, Jin photographed his shadow with a landscape similar to the one at Mt. Jiri. In addition, there is a Bangtan Bomb episode where he suddenly says something about getting robbed in the mountains.

The biggest hint so far is his brown hair. BTS members usually change their hairstyle and color in every comeback. However, Jin kept the same hair from August 2020 to June 2021 — the matching Jirisan's filming period from September 2020 to June 2021.

Still, this should be taken with a grain of salt as neither Jirisan's producers nor Jin already confirmed his potential cameo. For now, fans can enjoy watching the group conquer Hollywood until a news outlet verifies the news.
