BLACKPINK Rose currently deals with massive backlash for showing support to Street Woman Fighter contestant Lee Jung.

More and more K-pop idols have started showing their support to their bet Street Woman Fighter Crews as the Mnet's first-ever female dance crew survival nears its finals. The remaining crews recently tried to score people's votes by showing what they got through Jessi's Cold Blooded MV.

Street Woman Fighter voting process includes counting the crews' YouTube views and likes. To support one of the groups, BLACKPINK Rose shared a message on her Instagram. However, she received a backlash in return.

On Tuesday, the K-pop idol cheered her friend, YGX's Lee Jung, who currently serves as one of the survival show contestants. Rose shared multiple posts on her Instagram Story and asked BLINKs to support her, as well. She and Lee Jung share a close relationship as they continuously work together on stage.

She has supported her from the start that she constantly posted screenshots of the show on her social media account.

Rose only wanted to support her friend, but soon after she uploaded them, Korean internet users called her out for using BLACKPINK's fandom to help YGX earn votes. They criticized her for allegedly interfering in the show as this kind of post could reportedly help YGX achieve more votes than other groups.

It is also worth noting that Rose currently has 48.5 million followers on Instagram.

Meanwhile, some of her fans defended her and argued that some celebrities posted similar messages but never criticized them. Jay Park, BTS' J-Hope, and Kim Chung Ha were among those who posted on their social media accounts.

Street Woman Fighter Viewers Ask Mnet To Change Process

Following the massive online commotion, internet users tried to get Mnet's attention, especially since the network added YouTube views as one of the criteria to choose the winner.

By adding that part, viewers believe some Street Woman Fighter crews might be at a disadvantage since no famous Korean celebrity could help them promote their videos. Instead of treating views as additional points to the total score, the executives and judges should reportedly base the final score on the crews' talents.

Mnet has not responded to the recent issues yet. However, it already prepared a spin-off to air after Street Woman Fighter ends.
