It only feels like two minutes since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's daughter Lilibet 'Lili' Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born, but already - it seems - thoughts are starting to turn to the little one's christening.

While no firm details have been released by the Sussex family just yet, The Telegraph reports that - according to royal sources - baby Lili won't be christened in the UK.

The couple's first child, Archie Harrison, was baptised at Windsor Castle in 2019, and it's been suggested Meghan and Harry would travel from their home in California to the UK, in order to baptise Lili in the same way. However, the newspaper has quoted a palace insider who reportedly said: “There will not be a christening in the UK. It is not happening.” While it says another source suggested it was “highly unlikely”.

Instead, The Telegraph suggests Lili is likely to be christened into the Episcopal Church of the US, which is a member church of the worldwide Anglican Communion.

Bishop Michael Curry, who delivered the sermon at Meghan and Harry's 2018 wedding, is the head of the Episcopal Church and the paper reports he could officiate Lili's baptism, too.

A spokeswoman for the Sussexes told the newspaper that the plans for the christening were still being finalised and that claims to the contrary were “mere speculation”. So, for now, it remains to be seen just how Lili's christening celebrations will unfold.

In the meantime, we can all do a collective 'aww' at the details of Harry and Lili's cute bedtime routine, which make us feel all warm and fuzzy.

Speaking to US Weekly, a source close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said: "Harry adores Lili and loves reading her bedtime stories and rocking her to sleep." We'd guess one of their favourite books to read is Meghan's own children's book, The Bench, which she wrote to celebrate the sweet bond between father and child.

The insider also revealed that the couple are loving their new life as a family of four, adding "There's just so much love and gratitude and they couldn’t ask for more."

As for the Duchess of Sussex herself, she gave Royal fans an update on their daughter during her first public appearance since Lili's birth. On a visit to New York last month, when a reporter asked, "Meghan, how's Lilibet?" she replied with two words: "She's beautiful!" Super sweet!
