You’d be forgiven for thinking, “It’s just a grey jumper”. It is. But Jolie’s clever styling is transformative. Worn in a slouchy, off-the-shoulder manner, with her perfectly blow-dried hair resting on her clavicle, Jolie transformed a very normal jumper into an elevated essential.
Jolie’s sleek neutral midi skirt delivered added polish to her daywear. As for the accessories, she kept things typically simple. Nude point-toe pumps and a classic Loro Piana Sesia tote completed her city ensemble.
“I invest in quality pieces, and then just wear them to death,” Jolie told British Vogue in her March 2021 cover interview. “Boots, a favourite coat, a favourite purse, I don’t change things often, you know? That’s one of my things.” Testament to her statement, her trusty Loro Piana bag has been by her side throughout the summer.
While Angelina has accumulated several investment pieces over the years, vintage is a key pillar of her wardrobe. “Enjoying your vintage pieces, if you have them, and rediscovering some vintage shops seems like part of the way forward,” she told editor-in-chief and European director Edward Enninful.
