Dickies’ Latest Short-Film Sees a Pub Car Park Transformed Into a Skating Hub

Dickies’ commitment to championing the dignity of work continues this fall, as the workwear label launches its latest short-film: United By Good Work.
A follow-up to its 2020 feature United By Inspiration, this season sees the brand celebrate that communities are able to come together again and shine a light on the good work already completed — and what’s to come.
In particular Dickies spotlights the work of South East London project The Grove DIY, a group of locals who transformed a vacant and overgrown pub car park into a DIY skatepark throughout lockdown.
Since restrictions were eased, the location has since become a hub for like-minded individuals across South East London with a passion for skating and socialising. Those close to the project have fought for its future and campaigned for an unused eyesore that’s been transformed into a hub to remain, if only for the time-being.
