Farmers across the area are keeping a close eye on Wednesday’s storms. Some are hoping for a steady rain and others hope it doesn't damage their crops.
Jennifer George said the weather in 2021 has already impacted crop prices for her., specifically because some of her winter crops like pumpkins are still growing.
"We do not want hail. Hail means it's going to knock off the new blooms out there it's going to destroy our flowers it can do a lot of damage right now," said George.
Ruth Ann Schultze at KH Farm said rain from the storm could help her prepare spring crops quicker.
"As long as we don't have 10 inches of rain we're going to be it'll be a blessing for us. I'm one of the only people that still plant of strawberries on the bare ground also and so that'd be beneficial already have the ground ready," said Schultze.
