An Audrian County prosecutor has charged a Mexico man after a report of shots fired Thursday.

Michael White Jr. is charged with armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and resisting arrest.

On Thursday evening, a Mexico Public Safety officer investigated a shots fired call on the 1000 block of West Breckenridge St. Investigators talked with the victim and found a vehicle where a bullet hit the front panel, according to court documents.

Officials say White was able to resist arrest twice before being taken into custody on Thursday.

White is being held without bond in the Audrain County Jail.
