NYPD cops confirmed around 5 p.m., three 911 calls came in for shots fired near 19th Avenue and 79th Street in Bensonhurst.

When officers arrived at the scene, they said they spotted a 31-year-old woman, who is a five-year veteran of the force, in front of the home and confessed to them that she “shot someone” and that they were inside.

“I would describe her as calm, collected and very forthcoming,” NYPD Assistant Chief Michael Kemper said. “Simply put, she confessed. That’s all I’m going to say."

Police said once they entered the home, they found a 23-year-old woman who was believed to be in an “intimate relationship” with the cop, and a 24-year-old woman who cops said was possibly in some sort of relationship with the other victim.

The 24-year-old was found in the living room shot at least once in the chest, and was later pronounced dead, cops said. She was later identified as Jamie Liang.

The 23-year-old who was possibly once in a relationship with the shooter was shot once in the torso and suffered injuries not expected to be life-threatening, according to the NYPD. She was taken to Maimonides Hospital.

Police called the case domestic in nature, saying that all three had previously known each other. The house belonged to the woman who was in a relationship with the shooter, according to cops.

The officer and the surviving victim apparently dated for two years and recently broke up, according to the New York Post.

Cops believed that the shooter was in the home before the two victims arrived.

“This horrific incident is being treated as a homicide case,” Kemper said.

The gun used in the shooting may have been the officer’s service weapon, police said.

The officer, Yvonne Wu, who was assigned to patrol Borough Brooklyn South Precinct, was taken into custody and was brought to a hospital for an evaluation, police said.
