Timothée Chalamet is preparing to take on an iconic role, that of Roald Dahl's eccentric chocolate factory owner Willy Wonka.
The Oscar-nominated actor is starring in the upcoming Wonka, which will focus on the character's early years.
Chalamet's acting CV has always been very diverse, from his breakthrough role in drama Call Me by Your Name to his next outing in science fiction film Dune – but there's one type of film you won't be seeing Chalamet in anytime soon.

Speaking to Time, the actor revealed he won't ever star in a superhero movie, due to some advice he was given early on in his career.
Chalamet told the publication: "One of my heroes — I can’t say who or he’d kick my ass — he put his arm around me the first night we met and gave me some advice. No hard drugs and no superhero movies."

Earlier this month, the first image of Chalamet as Wonka was revealed, with the actor sporting the character's iconic velvet jacket and top hat.
Sharing the image on Instagram, Chalamet captioned it: "The suspense is terrible, I hope it will last..."
Meanwhile, Dune is set for release later this month in theatres and on streaming service HBO Max. Speaking about the film recently, Chalamet compared it to Harry Potter for an earlier generation.
"It was nerve-wracking from the announcement," he told Deadline, explaining that "the fans of the book, and the fans of David Lynch version, the computer game, and everything, there's so much love and strength of feeling.
"And so much of our pop culture and films and books have been derived from Dune, and all the philosophy in the book. I've been shocked to learn how many people have a next-level connection to the book. I compare it to how our generation grew up with Harry Potter, and that one makes sense to me.
"But it's cool to see with Dune also, when you actually sit down and read it… It's not that it's a quote-unquote 'hard read' or anything, but it's not made to be consumed easily, I think that's fair to say."
Dune is released in UK cinemas on October 21 and in US cinemas on October 22. It will also be available to watch on HBO Max in the US from the same day.
