Peri Lomax and Juliet Nightingale have made a heartbreaking decision to split in Hollyoaks.

The couple have had major trust issues since Peri refused to believe Juliet's warnings Timmy was stalking her until he actually confessed earlier this week.

In Wednesday's (October 13) first-look episode, PC Franks and her team conducted a sweep of the Lomax house and assured Peri they'd only found one camera in the smoke detector.

Though Peri was concerned Timmy could come looking for her, PC Franks believed he'd gone into hiding. Neither knew Timmy had actually been shot dead by his boss Fergus for confessing what he'd done.

"Juliet tried to tell me what Timmy was. She's never going to forgive me for not believing her," Peri confided in her.

Sid disagreed, assuring her: "Yeah she will. It just might take some convincing."

When Peri tried to apologise to Juliet, her girlfriend made it clear they wouldn't be able to move on as quickly as Peri had hoped.

"Did you think it'd be that easy? A quick apology and I'd forget how pathetic you've made me feel," Juliet raged.

James intervened to convince Juliet it wasn't worth risking her love for Peri just to prove a point about how she'd been right about Timmy.

Yet, when Juliet went round to Peri's to explain she'd forgive her and they should "press fast forward" to making up, it was Peri who admitted it wasn't a good idea for them to be together.

"I'm not letting you take me back," Peri insisted. "Everything you said was right. I chose to trust a complete stranger over my own girlfriend and because of me, that pervert got away.

"I mean, he could be outside watching the house right now… Jules, what if he comes after you again? I couldn't live with myself. I love you but while you're in my life, you're in danger. Maybe it'll be different when they catch Timmy, but until then, you have to stay away from me."

Viewers know it will be impossible for anyone to catch Timmy since he's been murdered, but actress Ruby O'Donnell has expressed hopes Pez will at least be the one to bring down his boss Fergus's Operation Bluebird.
