The Hunger Games and X-Men star Jennifer Lawrence is teaming up with one of The Office US writers, Gene Stupnitsky, for a new comedy titled No Hard Feelings.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the writer, who previously wrote Cameron Diaz's 2011 film Bad Teacher and directed 2019's Good Boys, will be directing the movie and co-writing its script with John Phillips.
Tonally, it is said to be similar to his school-based hit, as well as Tom Cruise's '80s classic Risky Business.

The film from Sony Pictures is said to start production in Montauk, New York at some point next year.
Another Jennifer Lawrence comedy that's coming much sooner is Don't Look Up, which is debuting on Netflix over the Christmas holidays.
As well as Lawrence, it's got an unbelievably star-studded cast, featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett, Mark Rylance, Tyler Perry, Himesh Patel, Timothée Chalamet, Ron Perlman, Ariana Grande, Michael Chiklis, a cameo from Chris Evans, and more.
Anchorman and Step Brothers writer/director Adam McKay is behind this one, which is exciting news indeed.

As for Stupnitsky, while plenty of people would like The Office US to be revived, especially since it joined American streaming service Peacock recently, showrunner Greg Daniels has insisted that he is far too busy with other projects at the moment. But don't rule it out forever.
Earlier this year, when asked whether a new project relating to The Office was currently in development, Daniels said: "No but it's not impossible. It's not impossible for sure. I would want to be involved, and I've got two other shows I'm working on right now."
