Former Florida Gators tight end Kyle Pitts finally had the breakout game everyone was expecting of him in the fifth week of professional football… in London, England. The Atlanta Falcons‘ fourth overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft had just 15 catches on 29 targets for 189 yards and no touchdowns coming into Week 5 before turning heads against the New York Jets last Sunday.
The 6-foot-6, 246-pound rookie tight end led his team in receiving with nine receptions on 10 targeted throws — catching both contested tosses — while gaining 119 yards and scoring his first professional touchdown. Pitts’ efforts turned out to be the difference-maker in a 27-20 win for the birds.
