Following the recent takeover of Newcastle United, rumours are rife that current Manager, Steve Bruce, could be replaced within a couple of days, as the club looks to move into a new era.

The takeover has likely made Newcastle one of the richest clubs in the world, and with the riches, comes a new ambition, ambition that the owners are believed to think that Bruce cannot deliver.

So, who is likely to be in the door at St James Park, and who’s the best option for the Magpies?

Free agent – Antonio Conte

Former Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte is currently unemployed and the Premier League winner would definitely fit the club’s new ambitions.

The Italian was last employed at Inter Milan and led them to their first Scudetto in 11 years. He left in the summer as the club looked to cut costs, specifically in their playing squad.

Conte would bring a style of football to Tyneside that they have never really had, utilising wing-backs and several attacking midfielders to create a swift flow when moving the ball up the pitch. Certainly, an appointment that would excite the Newcastle faithful, with his winning record and Premier League experience.

The Italian would cost a lot of money, this money would be to pay him and significantly invest in the playing squad to produce a team of his liking. Good job they have it, then.
