'With regard to the vaccine, I decided not to take the vaccine anymore,' the far-right leader said. 'I'm seeing new studies, I have mine, my immunization is up there.'

The 66-year-old, who was infected with the virus in July 2020, indicated that his immunoglobulin G count, the most common antibody in blood circulation, was at '991.'

'What am I going to get a vaccine for? I would be the same thing that you play 10 reais ($1.80) in the lottery to win 2 reais ($0.36). That's out of place.'

President Bolsonaro's vow not to get vaccinates comes after he declared in August that he would 'be the last in line' to eventually get jabbed in a country that is the epicenter for the pandemic in Latin America.

'Since many people are terrified to get a vaccine, it's not fair for the head of state to take it in front of the common citizen,' he said then. 'So, I'll be the last in line. I'll get a vaccine that I can get in all over the world.'

Bolsonaro was shut out of attending a Brazilian soccer game Sunday night in São Paulo because he did not have proof of a vaccine shot.

'I wanted to watch the Santos game now and they told me you have to be vaccinated,' he said in a video. 'What is this for? I have more antibodies than those who got the vaccine.'

While in New York to attend the U.N. General Assembly in September, Bolsonaro's wife, Michelle Bolsonaro, took advantage of getting vaccinated.

Brazil's President Jair Bolsonaro and his delegation were forced to eat their pizzas outside a restaurant in Manhattan on September 19 because the Brazilian leader did not have his COVID-19 vaccine

He was barred from eating in restaurants due to a city mandate that calls for all customers to be vaccinated if they wish to dine inside eateries. He and members of his delegation were photographed outside Manhattan pizzeria eating pizzas.

A total of three members of his traveling delegation, including his son, São Paulo Congressman Eduardo Bolsonaro, tested positive for the virus during and after the trip.

Brazil has accumulated 601,398 confirmed COVID-19 deaths, according to John Hopkins University data.
