The second team - the Phoenix Mercury, the other lower-seeded team in the WNBA Semifinals - booked their berth in the 2021 Finals by defeating the second-seeded Las Vegas Aces 87-84 in Game 5 and win the series 3-2. This is the Phoenix franchise's fifth Finals appearance in franchise history, having won three of those previous instances.

The 2021 WNBA Finals will begin on Oct. 10 with the final game of the series- Game 5 - scheduled for Oct. 19.
