If you are a Disney fan who is active on Instagram, then you’ve probably come across an adorable account featuring the always lovable (and now, fashionable!) Remy.

Yes, that’s right. One little Remy of Ratatouille has an Instagram account where he shows off his fun times at the Disney theme parks, as well as his amazing fashion sense.
Note that this account is not officially run by Disney, but instead features an adorable plush Remy and shares his travels throughout Walt Disney World, along with the fabulous outfits he wears every day.
Inside the Magic spoke with Remy and his friends, Kim and Chris, to learn all about his Disney adventures!
In early August 2020, just after the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks reopened, Passholders and locals Kim and Chris would visit the Disney Parks about once every week. One day when meandering EPCOT’s Mouse Gear (which has now been completely reimagined as the Creations Shop), the two spotted the new Remy shoulder plush. From that moment onward, their time documenting Remy’s adventures at Walt Disney World truly began.
Kim and Chris shared:
“Kim’s father is a huge fan of Remy, so immediately we knew we had to get one for his upcoming birthday. We wanted to get some pictures of Remy to be able to send along with him to show that he was ready to join the family after his adventures around the world. We had so much fun taking the pictures that by the time we were halfway around world showcase, we knew we had to get a shoulder plush for ourselves. We got the idea to post the photos to Instagram so it was easy for our families to follow along, and perhaps some others might find it fun. Here we are a little over a year later, still posting and having a blast!”
We asked Kim and Chris about the responses that the @disneyadventureswithremy Instagram account (which has over 2,000 followers so far!) has received, and they shared nothing but positivity.
“Chris wears Remy on his shoulder as we go through the parks and the best response has been from the amazing cast members! We really enjoy the Instagram community, but there is something special about seeing the faces of the cast and guests when they spot Remy in the parks. Instagram has allowed us to share the magic with others no matter where they are, which is amazing. This account kept us going during the pandemic. In many ways, Remy gave us a purpose, and reminded us to search for and spread magic and kindness every day.”
Note that Remy really is the star of the Instagram account. Kim and Chris say that they are Remy’s pals and help him document his adventures to share with his family and friends, as well as new Disney fans who come across his account on social media.
We had the opportunity to ask Remy himself some questions all about his adventures across Walt Disney World Resort (and beyond!).
Inside the Magic: What are some of your favorite adventures that you have been on around Disney property?
Remy: “Of course one of my favorite adventures has been exploring the France expansion and riding my new ride! It was a red carpet affair, so I had to wear my tux. I love Star Wars and have had so many incredible encounters off-world at Batuu which is one of my favorite photo spots. I try to attend the openings of the festivals at EPCOT as I can’t get enough of all of the food booths, artwork, merchandise, and topiaries. I look forward to all of the festivities to come for the 50th and many, many more pictures with my favorite icon: Cinderella Castle!”
Inside the Magic: I’ve noticed you have so many outfits! Please share more about the story behind the wardrobe.
Remy: “I love to dress up! Last year for Halloween I dressed up as “Bat-a-touille”and from there I was hooked. One day I noticed my pal @maddyshandmade on Instagram had a set of Chef Remy ears in her Etsy store as an ornament that looked just my size! When they arrived I was so excited because they fit perfectly. Since then she has made me even more sets of custom ears. Luckily for me, I can also wear some of the Nuimos tops, and I purchase some of my outfits from other creators on Etsy who make Nuimos clothing and accessories. My pals Chris and Kim who help me on my adventures, also make some of my items either as tailored doll clothes/accessories or made from scratch. My friend @graceyandleota even made me my own rat-sized PeopleMover vehicle for the ride reopening. I enjoy showing my fandom through my outfits and accessories or celebrating special holidays and occasions, just as many of you do too!
Some of my favorite accounts for clothing and accessories are @forgeandtinker @earstotails1 @enchantedmos and @sayaprayerandhustle”
Inside the Magic: Any plans to travel to other Disney destinations?
Remy: “So far I haven’t been able to travel outside of the WDW resort. With so much to see and do here with its four parks, Disney Springs, and many resorts I am still finding new things to explore and do. However, I just announced that I am “going to Disneyland” this holiday season! I can’t wait to see Avengers Campus, Cars Land, the Haunted Mansion holiday overlay, and of course, experience the magic that is Disneyland. I hope to go to all of the Disney Parks someday!”
