We’re just two days away from the third season of Netflix‘s hit thriller You, and the streamer already has great news. Just for you, Netflix has renewed You for a fourth season. While we can expect nail-biting thrills, creepy stalker behavior, and more from the fourth season, we don’t know if stars Penn Badgley, Victoria Pedretti, or more are set to return — they’ll have to make it out of Season 3 alive before they can start filming Season 4.
Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti will return as executive producers on the show, developing the fourth season based on the books You and Hidden Bodies by Caroline Kepnes. Sarah Schechter, Leslie Morgenstein, David Madden, Gina Girolamo, John Scott, Neil Reynolds, Michael Foley, and Justine Lo have also been set as executive producers.

“Reading Caroline’s novel, Greg and I were instantly obsessed with Joe Goldberg and his twisted world view,” Gamble said in a statement. “And it’s been thrilling to watch Penn bring Joe to creepy yet compelling life. We’re deeply grateful that Netflix has shown You such monumental support and that people around the world have enjoyed watching Joe really get it all very wrong over the past 3 seasons. The whole You team is excited to explore new, dark facets of love in season 4.”

In the upcoming third installment of the series, the show will follow Joe (Badgley) and Love (Pedretti), now married and raising their baby.  Attempting to fit in with a society filled with judgmental mommy bloggers and tech folks, Joe sets out to find the real love of his life.

“Breaking out of a cage in a basement is one thing,” Netflix’s description of Season 3 reads. “But the prison of a picture-perfect marriage to a woman who’s wise to your tricks? Well, that’ll prove a much more complicated escape.”

The entire Season 3 of You premieres this Friday, Oct. 5 on Netflix. Scroll up to watch the Season 4 announcement video.
