As of presstime October 12, the following numbers were released by the Wood County Health Department:

•16,890 cases since March 2020–an increase of 422 in the past week.

In the past two weeks, there were 590 active cases, including 201 in Perrysburg, 128 in Bowling Green, 38 in Northwood, 33 in Walbridge, and 21 in Rossford.

•245 deaths (four more since last week) and 772 hospitalizations (13 more since last week).

According to the Ohio Department of Health, 6,375,977 Ohioans have received at least the first round of the COVID-19 vaccine, which equals 54.55 percent of the entire population.

63.75 percent of Ohioans age 12 and older have been vaccinated, and 65.84 percent of Ohioans age 18 and older have been vaccinated.

In Wood County, 74,697 people, or 57.1 percent of the population, have been vaccinated with at least the first dose.

In Lucas County, there have been 227,641 people, or 53.1 percent, vaccinated with at least the first dose.
