In the years since Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank tied the knot on October 12, 2018, a few images from the private reception afterward have trickled out, showing the couple surrounded by the finery of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s home, Royal Lodge. Now, three years later, Eugenie and Jack are celebrating their third wedding anniversary—the first since the birth of their son, August Brooksbank, in February—and Eugenie took to Instagram to share a never-before-seen photo of the couple dancing at their wedding reception.

In 2018, Vanity Fair described the Royal Lodge reception as “a champagne- and tequila-fueled dinner” with plenty of famous guests, and noted that pop star Robbie Williams, a longtime friend of the bride, hopped onstage to perform his song “Angels.” The next day, the festivities continued with a day-long festival.

For the ceremony at St. George Church, Eugenie wore a Peter Pilotto dress, which was intentionally designed to showcase her scar from scoliosis correction surgery in 2002. But for the reception later that night, she changed into a blush gown designed by her friend Zac Posen. When both dresses went on display at Windsor Castle in 2019, Eugenie explained that Grace Kelly’s iconic gown from the 1955 film To Catch a Thief inspired the look.

One of the day’s photographers, U.K.-based studio Divine Day, also honored the couple’s third anniversary by sharing a photo of Eugenie enjoying a quiet moment in a vehicle on her way to the ceremony.

Before the wedding, there was press speculation that Prince Philip, Eugenie’s grandfather, was not able to attend the ceremony, but he ultimately did make an appearance. Last month, Eugenie revealed in a BBC documentary that his wedding present to the couple was a painting he did himself. She added that she and Jack gave their son Philip as a middle name “because grandpa has been such a huge, inspiring character in my life.”

They were able to introduce August to Philip before his death in February. “I brought little August to come and meet him and told him that we had named him after him and it was such a lovely moment,” she said. “We were very lucky to do that.”
