Gabby Petito Crime Scene: Hiking Shoes Found Near Victim, Body was NOT Buried [Report]

A day after a Wyoming coroner announced that 22-year-old vlogger Gabby Petito died by strangulation, a former prosecutor opened up about the crime scene and what it shows.

Helicopters with KSL-TV flew above the area where searchers found Petito’s body on September 19 and reportedly spotted a pair of hiker’s boots beside her unburied body. A reporter with the outlet said Gabby’s body may have possibly been covered with a blanket.

“One of the things I’ve been seeing in this story is a history of these individuals getting into fights and she attacked him,” Salt Lake County prosecutor Kurt Morgan told KSL-TV. “I don’t see that here. All I see is one individual who suffered the damage and no evidence of injury created by her.”

Morgan added that the incident likely happened quickly.

“This was quick. This was not sitting here for five or six hours, trying to figure out how to conceal a crime,” he said, adding that authorities will need forensic evidence to put Gabby’s boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, at the crime scene.

Brian Laundrie is wanted on a felony warrant following the death of Petito. Laundrie and Petito embarked on their cross-country trip in July, but by September 1, Laundrie returned to his parents’ North Port, Florida, home with Petito’s van, sans Petito.

On September 19, authorities found Gabby’s deceased body in a remote area at the Bridger-Teton National Forest in Wyoming.

Authorities issued a federal warrant for Laundrie for allegedly using a Capitol One Bank debit card without permission after Gabby passed away. Laundrie is said to have used the card between August 30 and September 1, “knowingly and with intent to defraud.”

Laundrie’s parents have insisted they have no clue where he is. They claimed he left their residence with a backpack on and headed to the Carlton Reserve on September 13. They reported him missing four days later.

Anyone with information on Laundrie’s whereabouts should contact the FBI at:, call 1-800-CALL-FBI, or 303-629-7171. Upload photos and videos to:

Brian is responsible for Gabbys death. He killed her without a doubt. His parents are aware of what happen that is why they have helped Brian get away from his felony warrant. They know he killed her.

I swear I am so involved in this case ! More than I should be just like Casey Anthony !! I just watched her video she posted while Brian went back to Florida and left her in Moab! They seem so happy ! What really happened it looks like they camped right where they found her remains :( This whole entire story does not make any sense from the beginning !The FBI on a wild goose chase in Florida and now finding out about the flight home and there camping trip and other things they should of known before now !! His parents can not get there story straight ! My theory will always be he was involved in those 2 woman being killed Gabbie saw it and she was scared to death ! No matter what the cops say,I mean think about it they have a man hunt for this looser for bank fraud ?? They must have some pretty serious information there not letting out for this kind of search ! That is my story and I am sticking to it !! And he is long gone out of Florida!! Smh
