Congratulations, folks. We’ve made into another gorgeous week of Squid Game (daily life). The weather is crisp, the Santa Ana winds are back with a vengeance, and you haven’t the slightest idea what to wear for Halloween this year. But really, who cares? You’ll figure it out on the 30th, and the meantime, you can occupy yourself with these exciting events instead.

Starting this week, Guerrilla Tacos in the Arts District is debuting a brand new daily Happy Hour from 5-6:30pm. Specials include buy one, get one free tacos, $9 highballs, $10 cocktails, and beer, a shot, and an oyster for $11.

River St. BBQ, one of our favorite barbecue spots in LA, is teaming up with Midwestern comfort food pop-up Comfy Pup for a special smoked wagyu Italian beef sandwich this week. It will only be available on Sunday, October 17th from 12-2pm at Deus Ex Machina in Venice, so pre-orders are highly encouraged.

The popular Vietnamese pop-up is back October 15th and 16th for a two-day, family-style dinner series hosted by Winner Winner with florals and wine curation from Heaven’s Market. Tickets are $100 per person and include a multi-course meal filled with dumplings, wontons, shrimp curry, whole fish, and more.

There’s a reason we already put Hot Tacos on our Hit List and it’s because this famous Austin taco truck is already home to the best migas tacos in LA. If you want to get in on it, head down to The Line Hotel in Ktown this Saturday from 9am-10pm for their official grand opening event. There will be buy one, get one free tacos all day, free agua frescas, live music and dancing, merch, a photo booth, and drink specials after 4pm.

Any green tea lovers in the house? We have just the event for you. This Sunday, October 17th, Chinatown-based tea house Steep LA is hosting a Tour Of Green Tea from 11am-2pm. The event includes ceremonial green tea tastings and tea education, plus green tea-infused entrees and dessert. Tickets are $75 and can be found here.

Though October is the height of spooky season for most people, it’s also home to one of the biggest beer celebrations in the world - Oktoberfest. But if you aren’t able to make it to Munich this year, don’t worry, because Wurstkuche is holding a little festival themselves. Running three consecutive weekends from their Venice location, this German sausage house will have plenty of beer, traditional yodelers, and other live music. Tickets are $45 and be sure to come in costume.
