Red Bull just released the full 2021 Formation Documentary highlighting the women who are turning a new chapter in freeride mountain biking. First conceived as a progression camp for female riders in 2019, Formation quickly turned into an all-out show on its own as the world’s best female riders took to the Utah desert to move their sport into the future. The 26-minute film details everything that went down at Formation this past year with Hannah Bergemann, Camila Nogueira, Casey Brown, Chelsea Kimball, Jess Blewitt, Sam Soriano, Vaea Verbeeck, and Vinny Armstrong.

The week-long event saw the athletes scout and sculpt their lines before shredding top-to-bottom runs on one of the most challenging, yet iconic freeride venues in the world. The event consisted of three dig days, where the riders carved out their ideal line on the mountain; one rest day, where they found community in each other and the industry mentors; and three ride days, where the mountain was host to the some of the gnarliest women’s freeriding seen to date. Each ride day the athletes chipped away at pieces of their lines, hoping to bring it all together in atop-to-bottom run on the final day.
