AEW President Tony Khan was interviewed on Robbie Barstool of My Mom’s Basement as he spoke about the AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event and made the announcement that Kenny Omega will be defending his AEW World Championship against Hangman Page.
Khan said: “Last year [the AEW World Title eliminator tournament] culminated with Kenny and Hangman, which is very fitting because now as we go into Full Gear this year, Kenny is the champion and he’s facing Hangman.”
AEW Full Gear takes place on November 13th.
Also, Khan spoke about the Owen Hart Tournament and said information regarding this tournament will come in due time. He said,
“When we’re back on Wednesday nights with Dynamite, I plan to make more announcements about The Owen.“
