Jon Pardi Tears Up During Emotional Surprise Visit From Randy Travis

A couple of days ago, we saw the California cowboy Jon Pardi pay tribute to the great Randy Travis by covering a couple of his greatest hits, honoring his CMT Artist of a Lifetime award.

You already know that guys like Randy have played a significant role in a lot of these young country stars’ careers… I mean, if you don’t like Randy Travis, you shouldn’t even be playing country music.

Pardi talked about how his grandmother used to listen to Randy religiously while he was growing up.

But what we didn’t know about that video a couple days ago, was that Pardi got to meet Travis for the very first time while he was playing his songs.

CMT just dropped another video, showing Randy pull up to surprise the California cowboy, and it got to Jon feeling pretty emotional.

You see Pardi start to tear up, and you can tell just how important this moment was for him, getting to meet one of his heroes.

So here’s to Randy Travis. You continue to be an inspiration to country artists from old to young.

Jon performed Randy’s hits, “On The Other Hand” and “Forever And Ever, Amen.”
